About the rescue campaign and HavePaws support role
On June 11, 2026, Ho Chi Minh City Police dismantled an inter-provincial cat theft, collection, and consumption network, rescuing more than 400 live cats. After the operation, the cats were brought to an emergency care area at the former Thu Duc City Police site for counting, care, health monitoring, and support for people identifying lost cats.
From the first days after the operation, under police coordination, veterinarians, volunteers, HavePaws, and support groups worked continuously to stabilize the site, classify each cat's condition, maintain emergency care, and help people identify missing cats.
HavePaws participated in support within its capacity, by providing essential supplies as needed, supplementing essential equipment at the right time, connecting volunteers, updating information for the community, and building a FREE AI tool to help people search and compare images of lost cats more quickly and accurately.
HavePaws sincerely thanks the police for carrying out the operation and creating an opportunity for many families to find their missing cats. We also thank veterinarians, Saigon Zoo and Botanical Gardens, volunteers, partners, and the community for supporting the work over the past days.
This AI tool is built to support the first step of search. Results on the system are suggestions for reference only; confirmation, comparison, and handover are still performed directly at the site according to the responsible authority's instructions.
The lists on this page are compiled and updated continuously from various sources to help people search for lost cats related to this case. HavePaws thanks Saigon Zoo and Botanical Gardens for agreeing to share the cats' images with HavePaws so the community has more opportunities to compare and find their cats.
